CHP Sgt. Brian Lee said the preliminary investigation showed the man was driving at a high rate of speed and in a reckless manner.Lee said the sedan was seen weaving in and out of traffic. It went to the right shoulder, left the freeway, lost control among the plants then came back onto the right shoulder where it struck a parked stakebed truck with a trailer.The driver’s side of the sedan hit the back end of the truck, Lee said.The sedan’s driver died at the scene. His name wasn’t released.Lee said the truck driver wasn’t injured.
