(Our pic from the time is below).Today it was bobbing up and down in the same bay, only this time it was upside down. Said one local: “That yacht is a bit of a feature in Inver Bay. It’s a real shame it has overturned.“With a bit of luck it will be brought back up again and can be saved.”Met Eireann had issued a small craft warning for most of the week and that warning was repeated tonight along with a severe weather warning and a gale warning.Temperatures will rise overnight but so will the winds. Met Eireann says there will be mild weather for Christmas Day and St. Stephen’s Day, however it will be windy with wet spells. The night of Christmas Eve (Saturday) will be windy with rain and drizzle developing, with the heavier falls in the northwest.A mild night with lowest temperatures of 9 or 10 degrees. Christmas Day (Sunday) will be mild and windy, generally cloudy too. There will be some outbreaks of rain and drizzle at times and this will turn heavier in parts of the north and west. Highest temperatures will range from 9 to 12 degrees in strong southwesterly winds. It will be a similar story on St. Stephen’s Day (Monday) with more rain and drizzle for western and southern areas. Another mild day with highs of 9 to 11 degrees and the southwesterly winds will remain fresh to strong. It will become slightly cooler on Tuesday with temperatures dropping to between 5 and 9 degrees as a band of rain moves across the country.
