first_imgFiremen came under attack when they went to put out a bonfire in Letterkenny last night.Firemen were attacked when responding to a call to put out a bonfireOne fireman was struck with a stone as they were set on by a crowd of youths at the fire at the old Model Bakery close to the Oldtown.Gardai arrived on the scene but were then called away to another incident. It is not understood that any arrests were made during the incident around 9pmA source at the fire service said this was the first time he recalled ever being attacked.“I can never remember being set upon like this. It was pretty scary.
